BORDER CROSSING

It's a challenge.

I am here to push the boundaries of what is expected as scholarly output to put out into the world what truly influences, inspires and impacts. I find ways to reach all people who wish to hear this knowledge and I wish to learn from them. Collaboration in all things is at the heart of my passion. At the moment my small circle of socio-scientific scholars is limiting to the outreach and depth of this work. So here I am, in this public space crossing invisible lines of academia to reach you.  Let me teach you what I know and learn from you so I can better push your achievements. I wish I had known half the stuff I know now when I started out in University at the age of 18. I didn’t have the network or social capital. I didn't have the know how for myself. If I can eliminate some of the mistakes I made by sharing my knowledge to others, I will. I believe the ones searching for this mentorship will find me. while I have been mentoring people for over a decade on the side for my courses, I formally accepted a mentorship role last year during COVID19 and I began formalizing my advice and wisdom for each of my mentees. It is has been a rewarding experience for me, and for them. How can I do it for more people? Not just the ones in my University bubble. But for others around the world looking for this guidance.
